A Healthcare Tool for Today and Tomorrow

Living healthier, living longer. Isn't that what we all want? Help people achieve better health with an Interactive Health Risk Assessment (IHRA), a survey that analyzes medical factors and lifestyle choices. Based on U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention algorithms, CPM's HRA is a customized, programmed, mortality-based instrument that can estimate respondents' longevity and guide them toward lifestyle modifications that will improve their health. Use the results to more strategically educate through health promotion and prevention programs, to stay ahead of the competition and to reduce healthcare costs.

Everybody Wins

An educational and motivational tool for lifestyle changes. An effective way to screen and narrow qualified leads of individuals for treatment. A way to detect disease early to save lives and reduce treatment costs. A way to promote healthy living and thereby reduce financial liability. The IHRA benefits both respondents and healthcare providers in a closed-loop feedback system. Respondents learn their "health age" and health status and receive pertinent information to make beneficial changes to live healthier.

Interactive

The IHRA is self-administered, but not self-scored. It uses accepted statistical algorithms to cross-reference answers to a list of questions relating health and lifestyle with demographic and historical data. Individual and group risk data reports are generated from IHRA results.

An IHRA is taken via computer at home, doctors' offices or health fairs. Access through the World Wide Web by a browser or through a stand-alone application makes on-line forms such as the IHRA a breeze. IHRA design is also customized to encompass corporate standards, logos and wellness themes. It includes a title page, instructional page and questionnaire. Immediate results are generated as a Web page, and counseling also may be done at that time. On the basis of their health profiles, respondents also may receive educational and cross-sell materials via e-mail or by traditional mail.

A Prescription for Healthier Living

It's all in the results. A prescription for healthier living. IHRA respondents see their health profile on a Web page results form. People learn their "health age," versus their chronological age, a meaningful comparison. Other scores show good habits like regular exercise, and modifiable health risks such as desirable weight range or alcohol use. IHRA results offer general and lifestyle recommendations that will improve respondents' health and the likelihood of a longer life.

The CPM Difference

There are hundreds of HRAs and even some IHRAs out there, but CPM's is among the most comprehensive. Based on research done by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Carter Center at Emory University, CPM's IHRA is ranked among the leaders by the Society of Prospective Medicine. And CPM is a research partner with Healthier People 2000 Network.

Comprehensive & Customizable

CPM's IHRA addresses more than 45 standard disease categories as well as newer issues such as AIDS and sleep disorders. It can include 40 to 90 questions and is totally customizable through programming based on your information needs, corporate graphics, wellness program, or other requirements. CPM's IHRA is available in languages other than English should your market dictate the need.

CPM's IHRA covers but is not limited to: Alcohol use, prescription drugs, exercise, family history, genetics, men's health, women's health, musculo-skeletal fitness, nutrition, occupational risks, medical history, safety, screening, self-care, tobacco use, vision, AIDS, and sleep disorders.

A paper version of the Health Risk Assessment (HRA) is also available.

Target Audiences for IHRA:

Healthy individuals; specific populations such as seniors, employed/insured, African-Americans, parents/families; or those with chronic illness. All can be directed to appropriate education and treatment based on IHRA results.
